USD 373 Latchkey Mission Statement:

Latchkey is a school-based program that strives for building social skills, character, and  knowledge through play, structured activities, homework time, and interaction with peers in a safe, fun, and educational environment.


Important information for parents to know


·      Latchkey offers a variety of activities:  exercise, homework time, reading, games, crafts and free time.

·     All enrollment forms and fees must be filled out completely before your child may attend the program.

·     Our behavior plan follows closely to that of the school district.  Please read our hand outs so that you are familiar with the rules. At any time, please contact a Latchkey supervisor if you have any questions.


Summer Latchkey Enrollment Form: Please print all forms, complete, and return to your school or the Latchkey office at Sunset Elementary, along with applicable enrollment fee of $10/child, $20 maximum/family, and Summer activity fee of $20/family. Early Bird Discount: FREE enrollment fee and FREE summer t-shirt if enrolled by May 6, 2017. Forms must be filled out completely and all applicable fees paid before student may attend.

2017 Summer Latchkey: will be held at Slate Creek Elementary School, 901 E 4th St, from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, beginning Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, July 28. Latchkey will be closed July 4.

HCUW Scholarship Application: Scholarships of up to $25.00 per child, per week are available to families in need of assistance, thanks to a generous grant by Harvey County United Way. The next round of grants will begin May 1, 2017, for Summer Latchkey.
