Winning Edge Information and Sign-Up Form
Posted 10/14/20

Dear parent/guardian,

The week of October 19 the district will be in orange mode. This means it will be the first week of Winning Edge, a collaboration between USD 373 and the YMCA. If you are a parent of a USD 373 student or a USD 373 employee with a student in PreK- sixth grade who is in hybrid, you may take advantage of this service. This program provides a structured environment for virtual learning, physical activity, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), as well fun activities found only at our YMCA.

If you would like to use this service, please fill out this form. USE THIS FORM TO SIGN UP FOR THE SERVICE. However, whether you are accepted into the program will depend on the availability of space. This will be on a first come, first served basis. You will be emailed if your student is accepted into the program. If you are accepted in the program, you will be expected to pay on your first day of service (see more information on payment below).

Key Information

-County guidelines to minimize the spread of COVID-19 will be followed, which will include wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing when possible.

-Hours of operation will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

-The Hybrid group that your student belongs to within the district determines what days they are eligible to attend. For instance, if your student is remote Monday and Tuesday, and in school on Thursday and Friday, then they would be able to attend this program on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (everyone is remote on Wednesday).

-Lunch will be provided for every student with no additional charge.

-Transportation to and from the YMCA will NOT be provided by the district. However, we will be looking into transportation to Latchkey from Winning Edge.

-The weekly cost is $45 per student PER WEEK. A reduced cost of $20 for those who qualify.

- When you sign up, you are signing up for THE FULL WEEK of October 19.

-There are limited spots that will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

Please bring cash, check or credit card to the YMCA to pay on your first day of care (either Monday, October 19 or Wednesday, October 21)
