USD 373 Art Teachers Attend State Art Education Conference
Posted 11/9/21

Four district art teachers, Ronda Dugan, Beth Burns, LaDonna Voth and Sarah Kauffman attended the Kansas Art Education Association annual conference in Wichita on October 29 and 30.

LaDonna and her daughter Aneka (2017 NHS graduate and current Art Education student at KU) presented about the Keeper of the Plains, followed by a collaborative art activity.

Ms. Burns presented 2 workshops: The first about creating and using videos in the Art room and the second, a demonstration using alcohol inks on paper. Ms. Burns was also officially awarded a glass piece for being the 2020 Outstanding Elementary Art Educator in Kansas.

Overall, the conference was very successful. These Art teachers were able to have collaborative time with each other and Art teachers from across the state as well as gain valuable knowledge and experiences to bring back to their classrooms!
