COVID Updates January 14, 2022
Posted 1/14/22

The HCHD has adopted the KDHE guidelines for schools regarding isolation and quarantine. These will be what USD 373 will operate under going forward.

USD #373 will be requiring a negative antigen test performed on day 6 to return to school. This will be required for cases who have been positive and for contacts. These tests are available at school. Home tests will not be accepted.

We really need the help of parents and students as with the shortening of the quarantine lengths, we need all to be mindful of symptoms in order to control the spread of this virus. As you all have heard, the two most recent strains are much more transmissible than their predecessors, which makes it even more important that we are mindful of symptoms to get treatment to avert serious illnesses, isolate to protect compromised individuals, and to alleviate the strain on the health care system.

USD 373 is experiencing staff shortages. In the case your child's school building must be shut down due to these shortages, please consider what alternatives your family has to your child's care during the day. Your student's health and safety remain our top priority.

Additional documentation is attached.
