39th Annual NHS Little Cheer Clinic-2.pd...

When/Where: Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Newton High School- Ravenscroft Gym. Please enter through the gym entrance on the south side of the school. We will have a review night on September 8th from 6-7pm where we will also hand out t-shirts.

Time: 1 pm – 3 pm with check in beginning at 12:30 pm Who: Any girl or boy in grades Pre K-8th grade

Cost: $30.00. This includes a Little Cheer t-shirt, one Little Cheerleader admission and one adult admission (must be accompanied by your Little Cheerleader) to the September 9th game. Fees may be paid by dropping off cash or check at Newton High School - no later than August 26th. Please have checks made out to NHS Cheer.

Little cheerleaders will learn chants, a dance and jumps to perform at the half-time routine on the 9th.

What to wear: Clinic: shorts, t-shirt & tennis shoes (no flip flops). Please bring a water bottle. Game night: Little Cheer shirt, black shorts or pants and tennis shoes (very important!).

Registration: Registration will be online this year

We hope to have lots of students participate in the 20th annual poster contest and the 7th annual video contest as part of Put the Brakes on Fatalities Day sponsored by the Kansas DOT, KTA, Kansas Highway Patrol and other partners.

The three grand prize poster contest winners’ school/class/booster club will each receive $200 and the grand prize video contest winner’s school/class/booster club will receive $500!

All Kansas kids ages 5-13 are eligible to participate in the poster contest.

All Kansas teens in grades 8-12 are eligible for the video contest.

Poster entries must be postmarked by September 23 and video entries must be sent by September 25.

A 10 week course  for parents with youth  10-17 years old.
Parent project teaches parents how to deal with adolescents destructive behavior.

Parents will learn how to never argue with your child again, prevent drug use, improve school attendance and performance etc.
