Horton Hatches the Egg Puppet Show

The Goddard Puppet Ladies present a beloved Dr. Seuss classic... Horton Hatches the Egg.  

See what happens when gentle and kind Horton the Elephant agrees to sit on the nest, and to care for the egg of fly-away Mayzie...  "I meant what I said, and I said what I meant, an elephant's faithful, one hundred percent!"

The Puppet Ladies are volunteers from the Goddard Woman's Club, a community service organization.  They bring "books to life" for children, to promote early literacy skills and a love of reading.  They have presented to over 10,000 children.  The Puppet Ladies have been recognized with National and State Awards, including the 2018 GFWC of Kansas Award of Excellence for Literacy and Libraries.

Salem VBS Flyer

Join us for Salem's VBS at 115 Old Main. It will be held July 7th - 11th, which is a Sunday through Thursday. We begin with a free will donation meal at 5:30 and our program runs from 6-8 pm. This will include games, music, crafts and fun lessons that can transfer to helping kids in life. Potty-trained 3 year olds through those going into 6th grade are welcome to be part of our program.
